Upon loading up the Eristoff site, an intro video played which created a scary, thirrling feel of rushing through the woods. It even opens with a full moon with bats flying across. Wolves can be heard howling.
After the video finishes you get to the menu which is very nicely designed, the perspective changes slightly as you move the mouse around and each of the trees in the foreground is a link. There is also a wolf in the center of the background which you don't notice at first which i think is very effective.
I checked out two very similar ads on YouTube, the feel was very similar to that of the site, wolves stalking prey (humans in both cases) very dark blue, cold feeling. Scary etc.
I think perhaps this aesthetic, though nice, is not really something i want to work with.
